ARTA Software, release 1.9.7, consists of following programs: ARTA.exe - program for the impulse response measurement and for real-time spectrum analysis and frequency response measurements. STEPS.exe - program for frequency response measurements with stepped-sine excitation. LIMP.exe - program for the loudspeaker impedance measurement and loudspeaker parameters estimation. User manuals are in html-help files: arta.chm, limp.chm and steps.chm. Optionally, user manuals can be downloaded in PDF format from the Arta web site. No part of user manuals pages can be copied, reproduced, printed or anyway re-used without the written permission of the author. The ARTA software is not patented, and does not contain technology constrained by existing patents. However, ARTA contains technology developed by other authors, that is described in their publications. ARTA user manual contains list of scientific papers that were used in a development of ARTA Software. ARTA software uses Windows WDM and ASIO souncard interface. ASIO is trademark and software of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH. Minimal requirements to use the Arta software are: - Operating systems: Windows Vista / 7 / 8 / 10 / 11 - Processor class Pentium, clock frequency 1GHz or higher, memory 2GB for 32bit Windows or 4GB 64bit Windows - Full duplex soundcard with synchronous clock for AD and DA converters - WDM or ASIO soundcard driver (ASIO is trademark and software of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH). ARTA Software is classified as "shareware". To use it you have to pay for the user license key. If you have no license key, you can freely use this software in a demo mode. The demo mode of the program is fully functional except loading and saving of files. To order license key visit Arta web site: www.artalabs.hr --------------------------------------- Changes from version 1.9.6 are: --------------------------------------- - In ARTA all signals buffers for measurement of impulse response are enlarged to 512 MB. This enables measurement of reverberation times larger than 12 seconds. Using larger buffers does not always gives better results. As a rule of thumb it is recomended to use the sequence duration that is just larger than reverberation time. - In ARTA, user now can delay signal capture, which is important when sampling rate changes. This delay time we call transit time for sampling rate change. It could be rather large for low cost USB interfaces. It can be adjusted in Audio Device setup from 0 to 2500 ms. High quality sound cards (like RME) do not need these transit time adjustment. - PIR files that were recorded for simultaneous measurement of impulse response and distortion iwith ARTA version 1.9.5 (or erlier) were not compatible with version 1.9.6. In this version we allow user to designate older version (that used swept sine excitation from 10Hz) or newer version (that uses swept sine excitation from 5Hz). - The maximum level of sine burst signal is set to -1dBFS. - New menu items are defined for import/export of impule responses and signal records. - In LIMP the measurement of R, L and C elements is enhanced by adding report for dissipation and quality factors. - Some CSV export functions are improved. - In ARTA a new Spectrum overlay menu item enables saving of multitone and distortion levels in separate textual files. - This version does not works in Windows XP Enjoy with Arta software!
